June 2019 to date: Facilitator, Victorian Young Leaders to India Pilot Program (VYL India)
The Victorian Young Leaders to India Pilot Program (VYL India) was announced as part of Victoria’s India Strategy (The Strategy), and is one of three educational initiatives intended to strengthen personal connections between Victoria and India. The program is organised by the Department of Education & Training, Victoria Government, Australia.
The program will comprise three weeks of intensive intercultural learning, during which students will experience daily life in an Indian school, explore India’s cutting-edge STEM industries and discover the nation’s thriving culture, from the traditional to the modern.
The program provides students with opportunities to develop leadership and intercultural skills. Additionally, this program hopes to create long-term partnerships between schools in Victoria and India and increase student’s and teacher’s knowledge of India.
